ROAD CLOSURES

On Friday 15th March 2024, The Snowy Mountains area’s will play host to the Australian Alpine Ascent (AAA) Multisport Festival.

The Festival is supported by Snowy River Shire Council, National Parks and Wildlife Service, NSW Police, TfNSW, and Triathlon Australia. Throughout the day, for the safety of competitors and motorists, and in compliance with Triathlon Australia recommendations, there will be some road restrictions in place on Alpine Way, Kosciuszko Road and Charlotte Way that will affect residents and visitors. We understand that road restrictions will have some impact on the community, and have endeavoured to design a course and time frame to minimise this.

All roads will remain open, but minor delays can be expected and we ask for your patience whilst remembering that safety is our first priority. The following road restrictions will be required for Friday 15th March:

ALPINE WAY
from Kosciuszko Rd & Dead Horse Gap between 7:00am and 12:00pm

KOSCIUSZKO RD
from Alpine Way to Charlotte Pass car park between 7:30am – 7:00pm

CHARLOTTE WAY
from Kosciuszko Rd to Spencer Creek Road between 6:00am and 7:00pm. Traffic controllers will manage bus entry/exit to Charlottes Village on Kosciuszko Road.

Please note: all event parking is located at Perisher Valley with bus transfers to the finish line at Charlotte Pass.
